As far as record labels go, Secretly Canadian has been on the top of my list these days; they’ve been spot-on with talented artists such as Suuns, Gardens & Villa, jj and Yeasayer. It’s hard to go wrong. Today, David Vandervelde, another featured artist, is releasing the new single, “More Than You Can Feel.” As the label expressed, “The tremolo-drenched guitars are retro but massive, a nice foil to Vandervelde’s warbling tenor vocals, communicating that age-old pain of people everywhere: “I need you/All I need is you/More than you know.” A fairly straightforward sentiment that Vandervelde makes work with nothing more than sincerity and a few chords.” Link up and listen, below:
