Although we *just* posted a Fatty Acids song as one of our Songs of the Day, we definitely felt that today’s angle on having them make a return so soon was more than appropriate. Josh Evert, the band’s main vocalist, approached us with the idea that they offer up their recent live performance on WMSE as a release available for a donation with all proceeds to benefit the current Keep Live Music On WMSE project. Evert says, “We are all dead broke, so we figured it would be a good way to give back to the station for everything it’s done for us.” Listen to the tracks below, recorded this past Wednesday on Rich Mars’ City Rock Showgram with WMSE engineer, Billy Cicerelli with WMSE’s hopefully soon-to-be-replaced aging and decrepit equipment. Want these tunes for keeps? Want to help WMSE out with this worthy project? Visit the Fatty Acids’ Bandcamp page, where you can download these songs for a minimum $1 donation until the project’s deadline of Thursday, December 22nd at 9 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Keep Live Music On WMSE Kickstarter project.
