The Way We Move, Langhorne Slim’s latest, will be officially out on June 5th, but Milwaukee gets a nice sneak preview at Turner Hall Ballroom tomorrow night in the best way — a live show. LH’s honest take on rootsy rock might not have those bells and whistles, but it does have a lot of holler ‘n stomp, and that makes for a more solid show most of the time in a tried and true fashion. LH told PASTE of his new album, “My goal for this record was to create something that we could stand by and be proud of for the rest of of our lives. To make music that is real, raw and beautiful,” continuing further to The Boston Globe, “This is not a boohoo record…there are boohoo moments…but, you know, this is what life is. There’s ups and downs and struggles and joys and as an artist you try to capture that stuff.” We’re guessing that this musical simplicity will be pretty stellar in a live setting — see for yourself in the video, below for the title track and at Turner Hall tomorrow for an 8 p.m., all-ages show with Ha Ha Tonka.
