Zero Hour Welcomes Jonathan Burks and A New Album

Jonathan Burks

This Saturday sees the official welcoming of Jonathan Burks’ latest Milwaukee-saturated and vehemently love-saturated release, Red Pulpy Mess. The frustrated honky-tonker bemoans the trappings of love with songs devoted pretty faithfully to that pretty pill that’s sometimes hard to swallow. Opening track, “Temptation” is a piano-driven, slide-guitar fueled ballad powered by a daydreamers’ weak heart, Burks crooning, “tempation, you’re the only one for me.” Check out that track and one more, below before Burks drops by Andy Turner’s Zero Hour show today at 1 p.m. to talk about Red Pulpy Mess and its release show at Linneman’s this Saturday [9 p.m.] with The Trusty Knife and Crappy Dracula. Read the complete review A.V. Milwaukee did earlier in the week, *here*.
