This year is more special than most for 91.7 FM WMSE. We’re (#1) really excited to be heading into our 2010 fall pledge drive and (#2) really, really excited to be diving into our 30th birthday, coming up in March. Thirty years is a milestone for maturity and WMSE is no exception — our current programming has grown to be something we’re truly proud of, so thirty is feeling pretty darn good right about now. Thanks for all you, the listener (and reader) do to keep all the stuff that makes WMSE well and good, well…well and good.
To jump into the festivities, we welcome local rockers We Are Your Father back into the WMSE studios tonight for a live take on their newest EP, At Wits End Amongst the Masses. The trio of Ryan Alby, Ted Flemming and Wolfegang Luethy have impressed us with their past appearance on WMSE’s Local/Live, and the band is still kicking it into high gear with their latest, which was recorded and mixed by Shane Hochstetler [Howl Street] and mastered by Justin Perkins [Mystery Room] — perfect for also kicking off Buzz’s Garage pledge drive extravaganza at 6 p.m. [through 9 p.m., CST]. Tune into hear some new tunes and let We Are Your Father and Buzz know that you dig the things they do. WMSE.org or 414 799-1917. Check out We Are Your Father’s “Left for Dead”, above.
