Melissa Czarnik: New Video For ‘Hand Me the Mic’

Following up the recent release of her album Raspberry Jesus [July], local hip-hop talent, Melissa Czarnik is now turning to putting out a couple videos in turn. The above video is for the album’s smooth ballad, “Hand Me the Mic”, where Czarnik shouts-out being born in the 80’s, her neighborhood and the importance of community in Miltown. Backdropped by Milwaukee’s Calatrava and name-dropped by NPR’s All Songs Considered [who writes: “Czarnik is a soulful, fluid rapper”] and Bitch Magazine [“Czarnik is an inspiration to young MC”s everywhere”], it’s clear Czarnik is going places, and doing it without erasing her hometown roots.
