Milwaukee quartet I’m Not A Pilot creates a unique style of music that is best described as “chamber rock.” Quickly becoming known as the indie band with no guitar, I’m Not A Pilot utilizes piano, electric cello, bass and drums to its best advantage. Their sound has been compared to Coldplay, Keane and Ben Folds. Coming off a 2010 Shepherd Express award and a new full-length release, Need Money For Rocket Fuel, I’m Not A Pilot is, indeed, taking flight. Check them out tonight at 8 p.m. on WMSE’s Local/Live — 91.7 FM on your radio dial or at WMSE.org. Missed out? Catch the show in the WMSE archives.
