Roasty-Toasty Holiday Programming and WMSE

Best Coast

It’s inevitable that each and every holiday season, various labels and promoters gift us with their favorite holiday singles. WMSE would like to pass a handful of these along to you, the listener, as a loose playlist that you can blast while finishing up last-minute everythings, including those last few and sweetly frantic hours of work before heading out to spend time with friends and family. Check out some great new tracks from Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Poncho Sanchez and the always-oddball B-52s’ Fred Schneider [The Superions]. While at it, peek at our early holiday present to you — some pretty great programming, which started with our live broadcast of The Five Card Studs at Discovery World earlier this afternoon on Faux Eyes’ show (listen in the archives, here). Here’s the rest:

Monday, December 20th – On-Air: Buzz’s Garage and Punk Holiday Show, 6pm – 9pm
Wednesday, December 22nd – On-Air: Paul Cebar’s Roots & World Holiday show, 9am – 12pm
Friday, December 24th – On-Air: A Very Chicken Shack-y Christmas, 9am – 12pm
