WMSE Song of the Day (Tune In Turn Up): Tobacco “Constellation Dirtbike Head”

words by Brigitte Kiepert

As far as electronic music goes, its sub-genres are endless. One artist that seems to push the boundaries and create his own is, Thomas Fec, otherwise known as Tobacco. Fec is also known for being the frontman of Black Moth Super Rainbow. Not much is known about Fec other than he produces some of the crunchiest, psychedelic and most experimental music out there. Keeping most of his life under wraps, what he does make public, gains attention. What Fec has decided to share is the fact that the first concert he attended was Butthole Surfers and it’s still his favorite and that Beck’s Mellow Gold is his favorite record of all time. Well, alright! Hear the gritty synths and experience the weirdness for yourself – check out the new video (above)  for his track, “Constellation Dirtbike Head” off his latest album, Maniac Meat (Anticon), directed by Trevor G. Allen.
