The Fatty Acids

Gallery Night in Milwaukee is all about digging deeper into Milwaukee’s artistic culture — local art, food and music are displayed with pride and the last Gallery Night was a total testament to the popularity of the now-staple Milwaukee event and the loyalty of its ever-increasing patrons. Despite a particularly rainy event, droves of Gallery Night fans showed up to check out what’s new and good in their city. And while the next official Gallery Night is set for July 29th, the event and its spirit is extending itself by bridging its usual quarterly appearance, branching over from its usual Riverwest + East Side + downtown + Third Ward environs to the nearby neighborhood of Bay View this evening.

The first official Bay View Gallery Night has businesses from Cafe Lulu to the Delaware House Dance Studio opening its doors to welcome new art and art fans alike, as well as special musical events hosted by Sugar Maple, The Cactus Club and Club Garibaldi’s. Check out photography at The Cactus Club from The Celebrated Workingman’s Mark Waldoch, then watch his band play  alongside Maritime. View three new works at Sugar Maple by Milwaukee’s Charles Dwyer as well as Adrienne Pierluissi, and enjoy live music by Kevin Schlei and David Collins. Club Garibaldi’s steps it up even further with live art from Milwaukee favorite, Dwellephant and Field Lehmann. Stick around to catch music from The Wildbirds, Fatty Acids and Charlie Faye. Happy local weekend!
