WMSE Song of the Day (Tune In Turn Up): Seapony “Blue Star”

Just in time for summer, Seattle’s Hardly Art Records recently released a cool and sweet album via dream pop band, Seapony. Seapony’s music is definitely for fans of the bygone era begun by Galaxie 500, Pale Saints, Young Marble Giants and even Mojave 3. Go With Me is a batch of songs that were perfectly crafted for lazy summer days, spent reading books in the park and if twee is totally your cup of tea,  this album is for you. Our pals at  Hardly Art are giving you a chance to have your very own copy to spend your next weekend with — just email wolf (at) msoe (dot) edu with ‘Seapony’ in the subject line and the first three emailers can claim a copy of Go With Me.
