We already know that Dewey is the best and only way to spend a Sunday morning. Just grab your Big Band coffee mug, fill it up with spoonably thick coffee and let Dewey take you to a place you’ve been wanting to go all week. But this Sunday, experiencing Dewey will be even more direct, more visual and visceral. Beginning at 9 a.m. [at Bastille Days’] Beaux Arts stage (Jefferson/Kilbourn on the MSOE mall), Dewey will programming his brilliant and informative Big Band program live for all the world to see.
And you can even bring your Big Band mug if you want. There will be coffee available. There will be beignets. There will be special guests from Wisconsin Hybrid Theater (Radio WHT). There will hopefully be a bunch of very sweet people doing things like the swing, jive and jitterbug. It’s just going to be a perfect Sunday morning, a perfect kick-off to the final day of Bastille Days and the perfect way to get another great WMSE 30th Anniversary Celebration started.
Sunday: The Dewey Gil Big Band Show Live From Bastille Days, 9am – Noon
