WMSE Song of the Day (Tune In Turn Up): Seu Jorge and Almaz “Errare Humanum Est”

Today’s song comes compliments of our very own Monday morning DJ, Brian J, host of World Music Mondays on WMSE — he’s been listening a lot to Brazil’s Seu Jorge and Almaz, his trio, who collaborated for the depthy song, “Errare Humanum Est”, and recommended this for sharing. Although mostly known for his covers (particularly David Bowie), Seu Jorge/’Mister Jorge’ lays claim to some of the most intriguing renderings of classic Brazilian songs. The above, “Errare, Humanum Est” is a magical minor chord journey, loaded with reverbed/distorted guitars, persistent drums and emphatic vocals that could be sinister if it weren’t so prettily put together.
