Miami’s Jacuzzi Boys have been moving around the invisible boundary lines on their hometown’s musical exports. Their three-piece garage punk is more in line with the left coast, but they’re not about to pick up and leave their swampy roots anytime soon. “Miami is not known for producing many good bands,” bassist Danny Gonzalez [recently told the band’s label, Hardly Art Records]. “So, quite frequently we get asked, ‘would you ever consider moving?’ Our answer is always, ‘No!’ This is where our friends and family are from. Miami is such a part of the Jacuzzi Boys, as important as any musical influence.” ” Jacuzzi Boys would prefer you focus, instead, on their latest release, Glazin’ (listen to the title track, above) and soak up the last energizing beams from that summer sun that they get plenty of. Lucky for us, they’re more than willing to share.
