Talking to Cut Copy: Dancing From Australia to Milwaukee

Cut Copy

Last night, Turner Hall experienced the sound-punch that is Swans and tonight, the Ballroom will be enveloped in sound, once again, but that of a more sheer quality. Equally ethereal and energetic electro outfits Washed Out and Cut Copy will turn out their dance-inspiring sets on one of Milwaukee’s largest floors fit for that particular art. Australian outfit Cut Copy’s music is unashamedly a call to the dance floor for music lovers who love to dance but don’t care for the weight of overdone nostalgia. Cut Copy is that rare band that makes the past and the present meet, own up and be comfortable. So, it’s lights, synths and action at Turner Hall tonight and to celebrate in anticipation, WMSE’s very own DJ Dori Zori chatted with CC founder, Dan Whitford about the band’s latest, Zonoscope, tour notes and what’s in store for tonight. Heard a bit of the interview on her show, earlier today? Here the full deal, here!
