With a new album, The Reflection, along for the ride, blues guitarist and vocalist, Keb’ Mo’ has been impressing audiences since his first release, Rainmaker in 1980, under his birth name, Kevin Moore. From Kevin Moore to Keb’ Mo’, Moore soon fashioned a musical reputation that would earn him Grammy Awards for ‘Best Contemporary Blues Album’ [Just Like You and Slow Down] in the late 90’s. The Delta rhythm style of blues he played stood out, with support and contributions from both Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt. His latest release is a bit of a metamorphosis from the original sound Moore made his sounding -board, but the soul still remains and proves Moore’s growth as a working musician in modern blues. Keb’ Mo’ plays The Pabst Theater tonight at 8 p.m. with Rebecca Pidgeon opening. 8 p.m., all-ages.
