“Join Us” for an afternoon of awesome in-studios. C’mon, it’s Friday! What else do you have to do besides Google images of prospective Halloween costumes? At the very least, give it a multitasking try and have WMSE on in your headphones, too — we promise our audio will be more colorful than any costume makeup you’ll find at the corner store.
Starting at 2:30 p.m., Caitlin Rose will bring her sweet country twang and wail to WMSE’s Studio A on Andy’s Zero Hour show. She takes to the stage of Shank Hall tonight alongside legendary honest country crooner Hayes Carll who will headline the show and have an acoustic performance of his own on WMSE at 3 p.m.
To top it all off in fine Friday style, They Might Be Giants give us an acoustic take on their latest release Join Us, before they head out to the Pabst Theater, playing a bill with Chicago’s Gold Motel. TMBG plans on kicking out their songs with just as much kick, even acoustically, taking to our studio space at 3:20 p.m., armed with a Casio keyboard, an acoustic guitar and snare + cymbal. Can we say “Hot Cha”?
