WMSE Song of the Day (Tune In, Turn Up): The Boswell Sisters “We’re In the Money”

Gold Diggers of 1933 immortalized “We’re in the Money”, but a more vibrant and interesting take on the classic song belongs to the Boswell Sisters, a harmonizing sister act from New Orleans, whose heyday was on the radio airwaves of the 1930s inspired greats such as Ella Fitzgerald for their interesting arrangements of popular songs from that time period. We thought it would be a nice treat and a thank you to all of you who have supported WMSE during another WMSE FUNdrive. Appreciate it!
