We ask every band playing Local/Live to send us a band bio. Some are great, some are crazy, some are ridiculous and some combine crazy and ridiculous. Others tend to give us a glimpse into a bands’ off-kilter psyche by referencing a “secret volcano fortress”, but still manage to tell us exactly what the music IS:
“Awkward Terrible were formed in the super-heated heart of a secret volcano fortress. Christoph Crimson tickles the guitar strings and manipulates the secret inner workings of a possessed Nintendo Gameboy from 1989. Sam Decimus thrashes at the drum set with dangerous rhythm. Together they create supernatural, death-defying, 8bit punk for you and only you.” Tune into WMSE at 8 p.m. tonight for what is most likely your first experience with Milwaukee’s Awkward Terrible.
