With a new record in the works, the energy is building for Milwaukee Supersuckers’ fans, for its not been since 2008 since the country-rock grit-masters have released any new music and tonight, they make a stop at Club Garibaldi’s. Infamous band ringleader Eddie Spaghetti says, “2012 promises to be a great year for the Supersuckers with more tour dates and a new record. We have some AMAZING new tunes and we can’t wait to get in the studio and knock them out for you. We’re really excited and I know you will be too when you hear the new jams.” This is all good news, since Spaghetti’s recent solo record under the Bloodshot Records label nearly made all signs point to no of any further shows or albums on the band’s part.
Tune into WMSE at 2 p.m. today on Andy’s Zero Hour show to hear a live, in-studio set from the band that raucously takes Social Distortion, Thin Lizzy and Murder City Devils cues but is hellbent on thrashing them together to form a completely model of ripper rock, altogether.
Supersuckers play Club Garibaldi’s (2501 S. Superior) tonight at 9 p.m. Also playing: Spittin’ Cobras and The Pills. 21+ Check out the rad poster (below) that WMSE DJ and Milwaukee artist Von Munz created for the occasion.
