Today on the Local Lunchbox: Ikarus Down

Friction, Milwaukee band Ikarus Down’s newest is set for it’s official release date this weekend as the group celebrates their LP release party at the Cactus Club with I’m Not a Pilot and the Delta Routine. Strong piano and guitar lines, tempered with strings and more build up much of the album and make for a both pretty but hard-hitting sound, lightly following their self-proclaimed influences of Radiohead and Death Cab For Cutie. Hear more on the new music and release show this weekend on Melissa’s show as the band stops by WMSE to chat and play a couple new songs on today’s Local Lunchbox segment at 1 p.m.
