22-year old Max Holiday has been releasing music under the name Young Holidays for just over one month, releasing his self-titled debut EP on September 8th. The “Young Holidays EP” was written, performed, recorded, and mixed entirely by Max Holiday in his bedroom studio over the summer of 2012. Overflowing with shambling garage pop, post-punk guitar blasts, bubbling synths, and hook upon glossy hook drenched in static and reverb, Milwaukee took notice. Attention from The A.V. Club, The Fringe (UWM Post), New York City-based music blog Obscure Sound, and Barcelona’s Alta Fidelidad has created a buzz around the Appleton, Wisconsin native. Live dates and a new EP are forthcoming.Until then, tune into 91.7 FM WMSE to hear a live set from Max tonight at 8 p.m. WMSE.org to stream or just tune on into 91.7 FM on your radio dial.
