The Animals and WAR were two of the stand-out bands of their generation and vocalist Eric Burdon is at legendary status for helping lead both bands through their paces. He was the voice which gave rock that edge; innovative and inspiring to generations to follow, especially with hits “House of the Rising Sun” and “It’s My Life”.
“Til Your River Runs Dry, Burdon’s newest, shows that he still has that fire, plenty of gospel and blues rolling out through the rock ‘n roll legend’s veins and through his vocal cords. Listen for yourself — copies of Burdon’s album will be available at Milwaukee’s Exclusive Co. and what better way to kick off a new album and relatively new year with a live, in-store appearance from Burdon, himself?
Today at 6 p.m., Burdon will play at the Farwell Avenue/East Side Exclusive Co. location (1669 N. Farwell Avenue), and if it’s anything like his performance with The Roots on the Fallon show a couple days ago, we can only guess this is going to be pretty great, (to say the very least). Eric Burdon & the Animals will be performing in Milwaukee tomorrow (Thursday, January 31st) at the Northern Lights Theater in the Potawatomi Bingo Casino for an 8 p.m. show. Two days of Burdon? Milwaukee, count yourselves lucky.
