Paul Collins returns to Milwaukee for what is sure to be another glorious show. All those power pop affcionados and fans of Collins’ work in the 70s band The Nerves (made popular by single “Hanging On the Telephone“) who have yet to see Collins and his Beat live? There is no denying that nobody packs a room quite like Collins and gets them to dance — don’t miss out. His 2010 album King of Power Pop! (Alive Records) is full of powered-up pep, much like The Nerves produced back in the day. Today, Collins comes back to Club Garibaldi to play alongside Milwaukee’s Sugar Stems (10pm) and also pays a return visit to WMSE to play a live, in-studio session. Tune in on Andy’s Zero Hour program at 2:30pm CST to listen in: 91.7 FM on your radio dial or WMSE.org to stream live or in the archives.
