A Trip to Bandcamp With: Low Voltage Rangers

lowvoltagerangers

Starting out  as a solo project by singer/song writer, Low Voltage Rangers‘ Jeremy Toltzman scratched out some simple demos on his home computer, later employing Dan Hinz, Ron Forchette and Nathan Gingras to flesh out his melodic pop songs, full of plenty of fuzz, dynamic tempo changes and atmospheric energy. Moody synths are propelled by airy drum machine beats, Toltzman’s vocals showing just as much range. Although the project has had a bit of time to find it’s way into the recording studio (with a subsequent release, Phantom Forces, last summer), it’s been a soft release. Hopefully, the band will move from its studio project stages to some actual stages, but as it appears the band is split between two cities, that remains to be seen. In the meantime, enjoy listening to the Phantom Forces over at the band’s Bandcamp page.
