A Trip to Bandcamp With: No Future

For a band that started because of a t-shirt, the outcome is pretty impressive. Milwaukee’s No Future plays hefty hardcore / punk and is built on the foundation of said t-shirt’s logo-sake (From Ashes Rise), but is obviously more of a builder on the members’ former bands (Since By Man, Seven Days Of Samsara, and Red Knife Lottery) than just a blatant riff off of a collective college favorite. The band’s debut MMXIII writhes and seethes with the salty vocals and the proper churning of instruments; and though this salty sea might be a bit tumultuous for an era steeped in electronic gadgetry and syrupy pop, it should ring through just fine for anyone with a penchant for something a bit more substantial (and melodic to boot). Listen over at the band’s Bandcamp page.
