Those familiar with Jonny Fritz might know him better as ‘Jonny Corndawg’. Fritz, the country singer with the wry sense of humor, dropped the corndawg in the dust for his most recent album, Dad Country, but hasn’t dropped the humor along with it. Dad Country, although a bit more dark, still has it moments of cloudbreaks (as evidenced by the silly + dangerous video for “Goodbye Summer” here). While you get used to the new Jonny, check in with him today on WMSE today at 2:30pm as he stops by to treat us to a short set on Andy’s Zero Hour before he takes the stage at Turner Hall tonight, opening for The Devil Makes Three (an WMSE/Chicken Shack sponsored show). Tune on in at 91.7 FM on your radio dial or stream live or in the archives at WMSE.org. Appreciate us bringing you corndawg(s) on a Friday afternoon? Don’t forget to pledge your support to the Mighty 91!
