Today in the WMSE Studios: The Wigs

Milwaukee’s pop legends, the Wigs are back in action for the weekend, getting set to play at Shank Hall this Saturday, June 1st. Jim Cushinery, Marty Ross, Bobby Tews and Bob Pachner are reuniting (and journeying into Milwaukee from Los Angeles) after the band’s breakup nearly thirty years ago to play a one-off show that will treat fans to not only a rare (and quotedly their last) live performance, but a CD featuring six unreleased tracks and two brand new songs. Listen to The Wigs’ “Fire” here (taken from the recently-released soundtrack to the 1986 film My Chauffer) and tune into WMSE to get a listen before the Shank show tomorrow ( or 91.7 FM). The band will play on Andy’s Zero Hour program shortly after noon today and will give Andy (and you) all the details on their recent reunion and tomorrow’s show.
