Tonight on Local/Live: Kid Millions

“What started as collaboration during the recording process of Recession Proof Rap by Kid Millions has now turned into a full EP project by the newly-formed Sounds Of Time. Aimed at the dance floor [we] dig deep into our influences of Boogie, Funk, Disco Rap, Dancehall and many other genres to make this an exciting record. [We’ve] also teamed up with MC Oneself and local rapper/singer Sose to add that extra kick!  The end result  is a breezy eight-song EP that is guaranteed to leave you wanting more!” Given Kid Millions’ track record for throwing down the hits (listen no further than Recession Proof Rap), we’re guessing that Sounds Of Time will be more of the same and is already evidenced by the excellent singles Millions’ has previewed (“Liftoff” and “Shake the Ground”). Catch the full EP at this Saturday’s official release for MELT #27 at Stonefly Brewery. 10pm, 21+. Catch the man, himself on WMSE’s Local/Live tonight at 8pm — to stream live or in the archives or tune in, in the Milwaukee area at 91.7 FM on your radio dial.
