What We’re Supporting This Week: The Waukesha BluesFest

WMSE and weekday afternoons mean the Blues Drive and devoted fans of TC, Terry and Sonia alike surely appreciate the varied history of the blues they get each week (in addition to WMSE’s weekend blues programming), from the roots of rock to the boogie woogie of an old-timey piano tune or the blazing guitar of a veteran guitarist balancing the genre’s history with new twists and turns. This weekend, the Waukesha BluesFest (in Delafield’s Naga-Waukee Park) sees a little bit of all of this and more. Stop by one day (or both) on Friday, August 9th and Saturday, August 10th and experience some local favorites and national acts who are currently turning ears.
